Sunday Saying

"The student who secures his coveted leisure and retirement by systematically shirking any labor necessary to man obtains but an ignoble and unprofitable leisure, defrauding himself of the experience which alone can make leisure fruitful."
- Henry David Thoreau, Walden

This is a great quote. What it says to me is that the harder you work for something, the more enjoyment you will get from it. Like how many people say, a person who works hard and saves up to put themselves through college is going to work harder and get more out of it than the person that has it all paid for by parents. My Hubby is a hard worked. When he has a job he gives it his best and does everything he can to do it well. I really respect that about him. I know that many years from now when he retires he can do so knowing that he really earned it and fully enjoy the leisure time that he worked so hard for.

What do you think?
