Friday night

I really meant to be in bed by now, but every night the hours seem to pass by and it's almost midnight before I know it. :P I'm still very sore today from moving around the TVs yesterday, not doing that again!

Can you believe it's almost September already?! I can't believe how quickly this summer has passed. In fact this whole pregnancy has been flying by. The only bad part is that means winter is coming too soon :P I really dislike winter and don't want it to show up. Maybe it will be nice and just skip from fall to spring? Yeah, probably not, but it's a nice thought. :)

OK, I really do need to make myself go to bed. I hope the boys let me sleep in past 6:30am tomorrow.

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful that we have a working TV again. Ours died a few weeks ago and we ordered a new part but it didn't work, so Hubby went out and bought a new one today. And I am thankful also that my insurance will cover a midwife who I've been wanting to see, so I've switched care to her and she's wonderful. I feel much more relaxed and comfortable with her, and that's after just one meeting. And finally I am thankful for my nice big tub, because after a few hours of lifting very heavy TVs I am exhausted and need to go soak away my pain.

What are you thankful for?

Grumpy and forgetful

Boy, I've been grumpy today. Some days I just wake up with no patience and it all goes downhill from there. Luckily I got a little less grumpy as the day wore on. Either that or the boys just did less to annoy me lol. Now they are being cute, playing with paper airplanes. Good thing they don't care how well they fly, because my paper airplanes like to take nose-dives.

I actually did get a few things from my to-do list done. I did a load of dishes and a few loads of laundry (we'll see if they get folded anytime soon) and picked up and vacuumed the living room. So I at least feel more productive than I was yesterday.

Oh, crap, just remembered tonight was enrichment night at the church, grr. I could still go, but I missed the dinner, and that's my favorite part lol :P Sigh. Hubby went golfing and still isn't home yet, but I could've brought the kids since they have a nursery available. Oh well. Now I don't feel up to changing (I've been wearing PJ pants all day) or getting the boys cleaned up and dressed. I think I should start stapling my daily plans to my head to I don't forget them :P

Can't find it

So I'm trying to help a friend find a certain fabric. She bought some at WalMart a while ago, but her WalMart no longer has a fabric section, and she hasn't been able to find this particular fabric online. It is this tiered material with a pre-sewn elastic waist, so all you have to do is cut the length, sew up the seam, and have a skirt. I've tried a ton of different searches online and can't find it. I even tried eBay. I have found kitchen faucets, power cords, DVDs and more things I've needed easily before, but no luck on this fabric. If anyone knows what I'm talking about so I can help out my friend, I'd appreciate it. Our WalMart still has a fabric section, so next time I'm there I will check it out, but that won't be for a few more days.

Skin changes

It's amazing how much fluctuating pregnancy hormones affect my skin. My psoriasis was getting worse before, but has cleared up a ton since getting preggo. I was looking at pictures of my arms from when I first was pg until now and there is a huge difference. Of course the nice summer sun helps that too. My face on the other hand did the opposite. I think it is finally starting to clear up. As soon as I got pregnant I broke out so bad. I had zits all around my chin and mouth and it drove me nuts. And of course I couldn't use any special acne treatment to get rid of them since I'm pg, so I just had to try to clean my face well and just deal with it. But now it finally seems to be looking better, thank heavens.

Special Corn

So, I didn't do anything from my to-do list yesterday. I just could not muster up the energy. But today I am going to do better, I promise. I already have some laundry going and I'm about to go get dishes done. I'm still tired, but I actually slept better last night than I have in at least a week, so hopefully I can get through the day without completely running out of energy.

I noticed in my garden today that my first ear of corn is growing. I'm not sure how well it will do because it is on a stalk that Jason tortured a week ago, but I swear that one corn stalk is special. It got chewed down by birds or something at one point, but still grew to be the biggest one, then even after Jason almost ripped it out last week it is the first to get an ear of corn growing. Sounds pretty special to me :D Oh, and next year there will definitely be some sort of fence around the garden, kids+garden=dead plants. I've had to replace so many flowers. In fact, of the original 20 or so flowers I planted there I think there are only 2 left, all the rest were killed off at some point and replaced.

Anyway, I better go get dishes done before I let myself get too lazy :)

Growing Belly

I guess it's been long enough since I posted a good belly pic. You can see my belly in some of the Bear Lake pics, but considering how fat my butt and thighs look in those pics, I'd rather give you a better (aka more clothed) picture of what I look like right now. So here's a picture of me from today, a little past 28 weeks. See, I guess I don't look that bad :D Actually, it's a pretty good picture of me compared to most, and my hair even looks better than normal since I straightened it. I've started getting the "Wow, you are finally looking really pregnant!" comments from ladies at church. I thought that was funny cuz I've been looking "really pregnant" for weeks now, but then I realized most of them hadn't seen me in a month since we were in Bear Lake last week and I was helping in nursery and primary at church for 3 weeks before that. So I guess for those that hadn't seen me in 4 weeks I really have grown quite a bit.

Tuesday To-Do

OK, I have some cleaning to do today, let's see if making a list helps it get done:

* Dishes- did one load, I'm sure I'll need to do another later

* Laundry- my goal is to do 2 loads today

* Clean up family room and living room

* Vacuum

I was going to add some more, but I'm already exhausted today and that list looks plenty long to me lol. We'll see how much actually gets done. If I can get a nap that might help me feel up to cleaning.

Bear Lake Pictures

OK, I'm finally getting around to posting pictures from our weekend vacation to Bear Lake. Let me tell you, I will never forget my digital camera again, the quality of those one-time use cameras is horrible! I even tried to fix them up a bit to be presentable and they still aren't very good. Anyway, here you go! Warning, there's a ton, I'm not going to even caption them. Also, don't be frightened by how huge and awful my thighs look next to my cute skinny sisters.

Monday Madness

Boy, I'm tired. I did not get enough sleep this weekend. Jakey had a fever off and on Friday and Saturday so he slept horribly those nights. And last night I just could not stay asleep and was wide awake for an hour or so in the middle of the night. Good thing we don't have much to do today. I have an appointment later but besides that we are just staying home today. It's supposed to be a hot day so I don't want to go anywhere anyway. I need to clean up the family room and do dishes. Maybe if I get feeling productive I'll clean a few bathrooms.

Gift

I know Christmas is still 4 months away, but with the baby coming in November I feel like my shopping time is going to be considerably less this year. So I've already been trying to think of what I'm going to get people for presents this year. But I am horrible at thinking of presents. I'm one of those people that would send everyone those flower or wine of the month club things if I had the money lol (well, and nobody I know drinks wine), just because it's a nice generic gift. When it comes to putting real thought into a gift, I just plain stink. Luckily Hubby is a much better gift-giver so as long as we shop together we can come up with something good.

Sunday Saying

Jedediah: "You still eating?"
Kane: "I'm still hungry."
- Citizen Kane

This is so me when I'm pregnant. I feel like I am constantly eating. I'm not sure if I'm really hungry or if it just helps keep me from feeling sick, but I am honestly always eating something. I just finished off a bowl of cereal.

Hubby made snickerdoodles after dinner tonight. I was looking forward to them because he makes yummy snickerdoodles. And I was looking forward to the yummy cinnamon-sugar rolled cookies. I grabbed a nice fresh one and took a bit. Ack! Unfortunately Hubby accidentally rolled them in a cinnamon-SALT mixture cuz he didn't realize he grabbed the wrong one. We are all disappointed. :P I had to drink some milk and eat a marshmallow to get the taste out of my mouth.

Weekend

Yay for the weekend! I love weekends because Hubby is home. And I know that he really needs a little break, he's had a stressful week. And because he is such an awesome guy and helped clean and vacuum the whole house today while I mopped the kitchen and took care of the boys, we don't have a lot of cleaning to ruin the weekend. He really is amazing, I didn't even have to ask him to vacuum, he just did it. Now if the boys will let us sleep in a little later than normal tomorrow our weekend will be off to a great start.

Oh, and I was going to pick up our pictures from Bear Lake so I could post some, but I kinda forgot about it until just now. So we'll get them tomorrow when we go shopping. Hopefully there are lots of fun pics.

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for the great weekend we had in Bear Lake, it was so much fun. I am also grateful that my garden is actually producing some edible stuff. The one pea pod I got was yummy. Unfortunately the lettuce I tried today was bitter and not that good, but hopefully I'll get some yummier lettuce in my fall crop that I plan to plant soon. I love watching stuff I planted grow. Especially the tomatoes. And I am thankful that I was able to get my orthodontist appointment moved to Monday so I was able to get seen on our way back from Bear Lake instead of having to spend the time and money going back up to Logan today. Plus I got the news that, as long as I'm good about wearing my bands, my braces should be off in 3-6 months. You have no idea how good it is to hear that there is actually an end in sight after 3 years of metal mouth.

So, what are you thankful for today?

Double Strollers

With another baby on the way I sometimes think it's time to invest in a double stroller, because I will have more kids than arms available. Babyearth.com has a lot of great quality strollers that I have heard good things about, like the Phil & Teds E3 and BOB Revolution. I would love to try out one of those strollers. And you can even get free shipping at babyearth on orders over $99. Now if I just had the money for a nice new stroller like those, I would love to have one.

Blur

I swear life as a stay-at-home mom can get pretty boring. Not really boring, cuz there's always some mess or something to keep me busy, but boring in the sense that every day is pretty much the same thing over and over. Wake up, get dressed, eat breakfast, check the garden, watch some cartoons, play outside, eat lunch, play some more, make dinner, Hubby gets home, eat dinner, play some more, watch TV, go to bed. Not much variation most days. It's nice when there is at least something going on a few days a week. Yesterday we went to the library for books and movies. Today I have scout pack meeting later. Tomorrow I have an appointment. Little things like that help break up the days a bit. On weeks where we have practically nothing planned, the days just blur together and I have a hard time even remembering what day it is. I really should plan more stuff.

Family moving

So my parents and 2 little sisters are moving. For so many years my parents have had a ton of kids in their house, but now my mom is no longer doing foster care and most of the kids have moved out so they don't need such a big house. They are looking for a small house or condo to rent and will be renting out their house to my brothers and some of their friends. My sister who lives with us has been helping them pack the last few days, they are hoping to move out by the 1st. Oh, and the nice part is that even though they are moving, they will still be about the same distance from us. Anyway, I'm excited for them.

Good start

Today is off to a good start, mostly because I got to try out the first veggie harvested from my garden! It was just one lonely pea pod, but it was just perfectly ripe and yummy :D You can read more about how my garden is doing at my garden blog.

I'm watching Olympics that I DVRd yesterday. I heard we did great in gymnastics yesterday so I want to see that, and I like watching the diving. I haven't watched as much Olympics as I've wanted cuz I forget lol. I'm glad I have DVR so I can at least watch some of them that I remember to record.

I better go start lunch and get some laundry going. I'm setting a goal to get at least 3 loads washed and put away today. I should be able to get it all done if I really want to, but don't want to disappoint myself lol.

Game Time

A few weeks ago I received a fun surprise in the mail. I wasn't expecting anything so I excitedly tore into the box and found a cute game- Disney DVD Bingo. I knew right away that my boys would love this. I got it out and the boys gathered around. I tried explaining the rules, but they didn't understand so we just went ahead and started playing with me helping them out. Jason started understanding as it went on and had fun searching for the numbers and characters that were called out. Jakey had more fun just taking off the game pieces and putting them back on however he wanted. After dinner that day I got Hubby to join us for a game and it was a lot of fun. We each helped the boys and it was great to spend that little time together as a family just playing. I know my boys love when we just get down and spend time playing with them, and it is relaxing for the whole family to just have some fun together. We definitely need to do stuff like that more often.

If you want to get this fun family Disney Bingo game just go to drugstore.com or Amazon.com to order it. It is inexpensive and will give your family a chance to spend some fun time playing together.

New day

Some days I just wish I could go back to bed and just hope for a better day. That's how yesterday was. The kids were driving me crazy, I was getting very grumpy and annoyed at everything (especially my stupid cats), Hubby got a ticket on the way home from work and brought his bad mood home with him, and stuff like that. Hopefully today is a much better day. I'm planning to go to the library to pick up some books I have on hold. I also didn't do the laundry yesterday so I need to work on that today. As long as the boys act better today it should be a good day.

Tuesday To-Do

I just have a few things I'm putting on my to-do list today cuz I am tired and grumpy:

* Dishes

* Laundry

I left a sink full of dirty dishes this weekend while we were gone, hoping they would magically do themselves, but they didn't :P So I have done one load of dishes already and will do another after dinner (if I ever think of something to make for dinner). I also need to do a ton of laundry because we have all our trip laundry as well as the stuff that was piling up before we left. I wanted to go to the library to pick up some books I have on hold, but it's closed until tomorrow for upgrades. Guess that's a good thing cuz I'm sure I'd put reading ahead of doing laundry otherwise lol.

Wonderful vacation!

We are home! We got home yesterday afternoon and have to get used to real life again. I need to do a bunch of laundry and get dishes caught up. And I still don't know if that condo had internet access or not, because I completely forgot to even bring my laptop. But that is good cuz I was able to just not worry about it the whole weekend. But I also forgot my camera. I can't believe I forgot it. We had to stop at the store to get some one-time use cameras so that we would have some pics. Do you know how long it has been since I've had to get pictures developed before seeing them?! I'm going nuts not being able to see if I got some good pics, plus I only got to take 81 pics instead of the hundreds I would normally take with my digital lol. So once we get those pics developed I will get some posted, cuz I know you are all just dying to see pics of me in a swimsuit with my big preggo belly and blinding-white legs lol. :D

We did have a great weekend. My sisters were so fun to have around. We went to the beach a few times. It was my boys' first time at a beach and they loved building sandcastles, playing in the lake, and collecting seashells. We also went to the swimming pools a few times and there was a playground for the boys to play at. Oh, and an ice cream shop, yummy. I was able to get a nap a few of the days. We spent the evenings chatting, playing games, and watching movies. The condo had a bunch of board games and great DVDs to use.

Can I just say that I loved the condo? Sure it was small (especially the tiny tiny kitchen), but for a weekend away that is fine. There were 2 bedrooms. One had 2 queen beds and the other had 2 bunk beds, one double beds and one twins. Plus the couch had a hide-away bed. So we could easily sleep 12 people there if we want to bring more next time. And it was fully stocked with everything we needed like dishes, towels, first aid supplies, etc (even high chair, porta-crib, stroller for babies if needed). All we had to bring was food (except condiments, which they had) and our clothes. It was clean and well taken care of and had enough towels that we didn't have to wash any all weekend. There were beach towels, folding chairs, beach umbrella, sand toys, a wagon to haul everything, etc all available to use when we went to the lake (which was only a few minutes walk away).

The weather was perfect too. Friday when we got there it was a bit overcast and windy but the rest of the weekend had perfect blue skies and it wasn't too hot or too cold. Just perfect beach weather. Only the boys managed to come away without a sunburn. Partly because we made sure to slather them with sunblock when we went out and partly cuz they were already tan from playing outside so much this summer. Hubby's back got pretty burned cuz he hates putting on sunblock, silly man. I just have a little sunburn on my shoulder and chest, and my sisters just a little on their shoulders/back. The sun was great for my skin, helped clear up my psoriasis a little more and gave me a little more tan (except for my still-blinding-white legs).

All in all it was a great weekend and I hope that next year we can get a whole week up there. I told Hubby we should save up so we can rent a boat or some ski-doos next time. And of course next time I will remember my camera cuz I hate not being able to add some pics to this post!

Yay, off on vacation!

I hope everyone has a great weekend. We are heading to Bear Lake now! I spent the morning packing clothes and food and stuff and I think we have everything we need. I am so excited, this is going to be fun. My sister who lives here and another little sister are coming with us. Ooh, just remembered something I forgot to pack- shampoo. I better go do that.

We will be back Monday, and since I don't think the condo has internet I probably won't be posting until then. So don't have too much fun while I'm gone!

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful that we are going to Bear Lake this weekend. We all need a vacation. I am also thankful that my boys are asleep and I can head to bed. I am exhausted and can't think so I love climbing into my nice soft bed at night. I am grateful for the nice soft pillow-top mattress and memory foam topper.

What are you thankful for?

Woohoo, vacation!

I'm so excited. Tomorrow we are heading to Bear Lake for the weekend! Hubby's company has free condos to use, and they are normally booked far in advance, but it somehow opened up for this weekend and his name was drawn to get it. So we will be gone Friday to Monday. It's right by the beach and they are fully stocked with everything but food, including beach stuff. It is going to be lots of fun. Now I just need to find out if they have free Internet access lol. Hm, doesn't look like they do :P But I'll bring the laptop, just in case.

Wednesday Rambling

Grr, my boys are driving me batty today. They refuse to clean up the playroom and Jason keeps picking on Jakey. Plus Jason woke up Jakey from his nap, which really annoys me cuz I need that nap time! They are giving me a headache.

We don't have anything to do today, except scouts at 4. Oh, before I forget I need to call the chiro to set up appointments, I keep forgetting or only remembering during their off hours... OK, got that done :D Monday at 4:30. (I had to type it here in case I forget lol).

I want to go to Ikea to get some cute plastic cups and plates they have, because I'm tired of broken glasses lol. I think maybe I'll see if Hubby wants to go after dinner. Have I ever said how much I love Ikea? Well, I do. It is an awesome store and I'm glad we have one nearby. I could spend all day there. And their cinnamon rolls are sooooo yummy! Hubby says I'm like a kid in a candy store when I go there lol.

Tuesday, August 12, 2008

Tuesday To-Do

OK, not really much on my list today:

* Dishes (do they EVER end?!) Hubby will be proud, I even hand-washed the pans that wouldn't fit in the dishwasher, a job I normally let stack up until his turn to do dishes lol

* A few loads of laundry Done!

* Clean Jakey's room Really didn't take too long, and I think I will leave the boys in the same room for now

* Wait around for TV repair guy He showed up around 5ish, and charged us $49 for his 5 minutes of time :P

Yeah, not much to do. I have just a load or so of laundry to finish up since I got most of it done (AND folded!) yesterday when I had no Internet. Then I am probably going to try getting Jakey's room cleaned up. I have been locking the boys out of it and making Jakey sleep in Jason's room lately because they kept getting into the boxes of baby stuff in the closet and dumping them out. So I need to get that all cleaned up and decide if I'll just keep them in the same room again or let Jakey have his own room back. It hasn't been a problem to have them in the same room, but it's just weird having that whole room not being used for anything lol.

Connected

Holy cow, it's Tuesday? For some reason I was thinking it's Monday lol. Haha. Probably cuz my Monday got all screwed up without having the Internet working to keep me up to date lol. Anyway, the guy did show up yesterday to fix our Internet. Evidently the modem (that we've only had 5 months) was completely dead. So we got a new one and are up and running again, yay! Our TV still won't turn on, so we have some electronics guy coming over to look at it today. Might be something wrong with the power board or something like that. Unfortunately that means either an expensive fix, or if they can't fix it we'd have to buy a new TV. Hopefully they can fix it. We have no plans for the day, just staying home :)

Blocked

I don't think I can explain just how nuts I get when my Internet doesn't work. I feel cut off from everything. For some reason our modem isn't working. I called customer service and they said it's offline and they have to send someone out to check it. Of course they never come when they say they will so I had to resort to coming to the library to use the computer. And I only get 30mins on the computer here so I can't even get caught up on everything online like blogs and messageboards. All I have time for is checking my email and writing a quick post :P I really hope that tech guy shows up by the time I get home so I can use my own computer. I hate using the library computers cuz so many options are blocked and they don't have Firefox so I have to use crappy IE to get online.

ETA: Arg, another thing I hate about not being on my computer- I don't know any of my links or usernames and passwords to anything! They are already all auto set on my computer but I don't have them memorized and have a hard time getting into anything here :P

Camera Critters

This pic was taken at the zoo a few weeks ago. It was a cool white alligator that is their main display right now. It looked fake cuz it wasn't moving at all and I've never seen a white alligator. The boys thought it was pretty cool. I think it would've been cooler if it had been moving, like attacking some food or something lol.

Head over to Camera Critters to see more cool pics.

It's Friday!

Today has been a normal boring day. We didn't have anything to do, so we just stayed in. We got a little rain this morning which is wonderful. It made it nice and cool and the boys went out and played in it a bit. Hubby and I went to the temple this evening and had my little sisters babysit the boys. While we were gone Jason got into a bunch of pictures I've been meaning to hang on his wall and broke one of the frames, giving himself a few little cuts on his fingers. Seriously, not a day goes by where we don't have some mess here lol.

I keep thinking I'm forgetting things to post of Fridays, but it's because for some reason there hasn't been a new Friday's Feast up in weeks. Wonder why? I used to always do Friday's Feast and now without it I have one less Friday post. Weird.

Hey, and before I forget, you should go checkout the cool giveaways going on over at 5 Minutes for Mom, one of my favorite sites. They are having a huge back to school giveaway and already have some way cool stuff up, so check it out.

Well, I'm heading to bed soon I think. Maybe the boys will be really good and sleep in tomorrow for me. I can only hope.

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for my wonderful Hubby who thoughtfully brought me home a handful of Snickers bars last night and pulled them out in the middle of me having a fit to calm me down lol. He sure knows the way to my heart. Too bad they give me bad heartburn, but to help that I am very thankful for Tums. And I am thankful also that my tomato plants seem to be doing great now. Since the first tomato that popped out last week I now have another 4 or so tiny little tomatoes starting to grow. That is seriously the one vegetable I have most wanted to work out in my garden so I am grateful they are growing. :)

What are you thankful for?

I'd rather be sleeping

Well, another not-so-pleasant part of pregnancy has finally shown up full force. Heartburn. Ugh :P And it seems to happen no matter what kind of food I eat. I had some pizza a few hours ago and ever since then I've felt so yucky from the heartburn. Makes me want to throw up. Guess it's time to start eating Tums after every meal :P

I need to go vacuum the living room now. We've had a break from scouts for a month but now we are back to our Thursday meetings, so I need to clean up before the boys show up. Oh, I should probably put on some normal clothes too lol, don't think they all want to see me in pajama pants and a shirt that doesn't cover my whole belly anymore. :D

Messes and hugs

It's amazing how it is only 8:15am and I am already exhausted and going insane :P Jason woke me up before 6am. I hate getting woken up earlier than necessary. Then I let the boys play outside and they put the sprinkler in their sandbox, which is right under our OPEN family room window, so part of the couch is now wet and they have a sandbox full of mud. The stupid cat I don't like pooped on the floor again and Jakey decided to spread it around (I don't know why I can't get him to understand that you DO NOT touch kitty poop?!), and the kids have just not been listening to me this morning. I am so ready to go back to bed.

Even more amazing is that they can suddenly turn into little angels and make it all better. Jakey just climbed up on the couch by me and let me give him hugs and was being all sweet and cuddly. It's hard to stay mad with a cute little boy giving you loves. :)

Now, I'm going to go eat a Snickers bar and lay on the couch with a book while the boys watch a cartoon. I think a little bit of laziness will help us all get over our crazy morning.

My little mess maker

So Monday morning I was down here in the family room watching cartoons or something and noticed that Jason was sitting here but Jakey was not. And of course it was just too quiet for that to mean anything good lol. So upstairs I go to check on what he is doing. This is what I found:

The little stinker had gotten into some makeup and was getting it all over his face. Luckily this was just cheap makeup that I rarely use, it was only on him, and it was just too funny for me to be very mad. It's a good thing that baby wipes are good for getting off makeup, though he was slightly pink-tinged the rest of the day.

eBillme

I got the chance to try out a cool payment service called eBillme. With eBillme, you go to their site and buy from one of the online shopping sites they list, select the eBillme payment method, they give you all the info you need, and then pay through your bank's bill pay service. We already use our bank's bill pay to pay most of our bills so it is nice to just be able to pay through that. I ordered Season 3 of The Office, because I got Hubby Season's 1 & 2 for his birthday and he's been watching those over and over and we are ready to watch more lol. It was easy to choose what I wanted to get from tigerdirect.com, select the eBillme payment option during checkout, and then get my payment set up through bill pay. They send you the bill with account number and eBillme's payee information, you simply enter it all in and in just a few minutes it's all ready to go. It only took me about 3-4 minutes total to order and set up the payment. Plus, next time I order with eBillme I won't have to enter all the payee info in my bill pay so it will go even faster. What I really like about using this to pay with my bill pay is that I have a record of it right in my bank account so I can easily keep track of what I spend through them. Check it out at www.ebillme.com.

Just Wednesday

It is only 8am and the kids are already driving me nuts lol. Seriously, where do they get the energy?! I want some! Jason woke up just after 6 and of course woke me up. I really really wish kids could understand the concept of sleeping in lol. Today we don't have any plans, just hanging out at home. It's supposed to be a little less hot with a chance of rain, so that would be nice. I need to get the family room and playroom cleaned up, and vacuum, and do dishes, and mop. I'm glad I finally got all my piles of laundry folded yesterday so I don't have to worry about laundry today.

Is anyone else doing anything fun today?

Last weekend

I guess I never remembered to talk about our trip last weekend lol. Well, mostly it was long and exhausting. We left near 9am Friday and headed up to Idaho. We stopped for gas, lunch, and bathroom breaks. 5 long hours later we arrived at our destination. Hubby's friend Kirstin got married. It was a beautiful ceremony outdoors. She looked so gorgeous and I loved the colors. Plus there was delicious cheesecake, mmm. We spent a few hours there catching up with her and his other friend Adalynn. Then we started back to Pocatello to see a few friends, one of Hubby's old work buddies and the neighbor who's baby (Little T) I used to babysit. That was nice, and I can't believe how big T has gotten! We then drove to Logan and arrived at almost 11pm. In total we probably spent around 9 hours in the car that day. I was so tired and my back was hurting so bad. Poor Jakey was just crying every time we put him back in the car seat because he was just so tired of being in the car. We checked into our crappy hotel, into our smoking room. Ugh. That was all that was available that weekend because of the "Napoleon Dynamite Days" going on in Preston :P So I just wanted to sleep after the long day, but I could barely breathe in that stinky room. Plus Jakey ended up in bed with us and tossed and turned all night. So I did not sleep well. Luckily it was just one night and we left by 9am the next morning. We went to a big buffet breakfast at a park in Preston (30 mins from Logan) where we met up with Hubby's brother. It was a nice yummy big breakfast and, all full, we headed home. Luckily it is only about 2.5 hours from there to home, so we didn't have to spend all day in the car again. Then we just spent the rest of Saturday being lazy cuz we were all exhausted. So that was my trip last weekend :) I really hate long drives while pg, my back just hurts too much sitting in the car that long.

Crazy Kids

My kids have been so crazy today. I don't know what got into them but they are just acting so wild. They both only napped about 15 minutes on the way home from the park, and I think that's why Jakey at least is acting out, and I guess Jason is just feeding off of Jakey's energy. They have been fighting and wrestling and running around and making messes. It is insane. Luckily it is bedtime now so hopefully we can get them to calm down and go to sleep.

Tuesday To-Do

Here is my list for the day:

* Fold laundry Done!

* Go to park to meet up with cousin

* Go to library

* Dishes

I think that's about it for the day. I actually got the 6 loads of laundry folded that were sitting at the foot of my bed. Just turned on some music and got it done. Then we went to the park to meet up with my cousin and her son. That was fun. I need to go to the library to pick up some books on hold and return movies. And of course dishes have to be done every day :P

Yucky spider

This morning the boys were sitting on the floor and suddenly started saying "Hey, a bug! Look at the bug!" I go over and there is a tiny spider crawling across the floor. I HATE spiders so I immediately squashed it, right in front of my kids, and told them spiders are yucky lol. For the next half hour they went around joking to each other "You have a spider in your mouth!". I have no idea where it came from but it was silly. Anyway, I'm glad that we don't get many spiders in the house, or I'd get some spider traps to kill them cuz I can't stand seeing them in the house. I still have to deal with them in the garden, but they seem less threatening outside for some reason lol, I mostly ignore them unless I'm feeling mean.

Monday Madness

Today was really fun. We had a get together with a bunch of my friends that I met online, who I've met before. It was really fun, the kids had a great time, and us moms got to sit and just chat for a few hours. It's nice to get out of the house once in a while and let the boys play.

Tomorrow morning we are going to the park to have fun with my cousin and her son. I haven't seen them in over a year, when her son was just a few weeks old, so it'll be nice to see how they are doing and see how big her son has become.

I'm going to head to bed soon and hopefully get some good rest. I may take a nice hot bath first, have some Tylenol PM, and maybe that will help me get a good night's sleep. One of these mornings I would love to wake up feeling refreshed and rested instead of groggy and grumpy.

Sunday Saying

"So much time and so little to do. Wait a minute. Strike that. Reverse it."
- Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

Man, the day went so fast :P I really meant to write about our trip and stuff, but still haven't gotten around to it. And now it's 10pm and I really need to get to bed at a decent time tonight, I am so exhausted! Stayed up way too late last night reading, plus still not recovered from our trip lol, so I better go head to bed. Hope you all had a good weekend!

Useless

For some reason I can't get Hubby to get rid of the boxes of textbooks that he has collected from when he was in college. They have been moved with us twice, and I just don't see why. Is he really going to go back and use them ever? I doubt it. I admit there are some of my old textbooks in there too, but that's just because I couldn't sell them off to get rid of them. I need to just drop them all off at the thrift store, maybe somebody else could use them.

Dieting

Last week my Hubby was getting a little down about his weight loss efforts. He was thinking he'd have to resort to diet pills or colon cleanses or something, or just wanted to give up. I was able to talk him out of his despair. He's really not doing bad and a few days of indulgence aren't going to ruin everything. Of course, just in case, we are planning to start saving up the money we'll need to pay up if he doesn't win.

Good price

My sister was telling me that she had planned to go buy Breaking Dawn at it's release at a bookstore, Barnes & Noble or Borders or something, but ended up getting hers at WalMart like I did. It was actually good because that was the best buy. It was only $14 at WalMart where it would have been over $20 at the bookstore. It can be great to shop around.

Finished

So I just finished reading Breaking Dawn. Wow! That sure was a lot to take in! So much happened and of course I can't say what on here because I don't want to ruin it, but it was great! I'm glad I broke down and bought it. Now I get to look forward to the Twilight movie coming out in December. Hopefully it is good.

Anyway, now at least I can get some sleep tonight lol. And get back to taking care of my kids and house. :D

Quick Update

OK, we got home earlier today (ok, yesterday I guess since it's after midnight). We are all exhausted. I should have been in bed hours ago. I will post about our tiring trip tomorrow. Maybe. I ended up picking up a copy of Breaking Dawn when we went grocery shopping and so I might be a bit absent until I finish lol. Hope you are all having a good weekend!

Procrastinating

Well, we are planning to leave in little over an hour and I am procrastinating getting everything ready to go. I need to pack the diaper bag, get some snacks and water bottles ready, remember to bring a book to read, do my hair, and water the garden before we leave. I have most of our clothes we need packed, did that last night. I hate packing, I always forget something. Oh, camera, should probably put that in my purse right now before I forget (that's usually the one thing I forget). K, got that. I'm going to hurry and go water the garden then finish up the packing.
