Too much to remember

I often wonder how doctors can remember all the different medicines and what to prescribe them for. There are thousands of medicines and different doses for different symptoms and they have to remember which ones can't be used for certain things or will react with other drugs. Do they go home and study new medicines every night like homework? I don't think I could remember the differences between lipovox and celebrex and roxicet. That is one reason I never went into a medical field, way too much stuff to know, and you can't screw up or you could kill someone.
