Kittens

Well, since we put off getting our cats (2 female, 1 male) fixed, it is quite possible that in a few months we will be having at least one litter of kittens. The problem is we cannot afford more cats, and I definitely do not want to deal with them. So if/when they have kittens I only want them as long as they need to be with their mothers, but hope to find people to take them. How old do kittens need to be before they can be separated from their mom? And what's the best way to advertise free kittens? You can bet after this we will be getting the cats (or at least the male) fixed lol.

ACK! Nightmare, lots and lots of kittens, worse is if they BOTH got pg!! We have a girl dog and we NEED to fix her, she's about 8 months old now and she gets out of our yard alot. (Sneaky brat!)

The crazy thing is until about a month ago we thought they were all girls (I never checked, I just took the word of the guy who gave us the black one that he was female lol) so we decided not to do anything about them since we never let them out. When we found out the black one was male we figured we needed him fixed soon since he was getting mature, but evidently didn't do it soon enough.

Kittens should stay with their mommy for 6 weeks. If you take them away any early they'll miss out on learning lots of important things from mommy, grooming only being at the top of the list.

For sure, you should get the male fixed now. You don't want him spraying in your home, garage, cars, etc. You'll never get the smell out, it's horrible!
Good luck on the kittens. Also, be careful, male cats eat kittens, for real.

Awwwww.. little baby kitties :)

I don't know if you want to know this or not.. but you can have the female done while pregnant. I mean if you really really don't want kittens running around.

8 weeks for them to leave their mother.
