Need a good book

I'm always on the lookout for good books to read. I really like fantasy/sci-fi stuff like Anne McCaffrey, Orson Scott Card, and stuff with dragons and stuff lol. I also like action like Clive Cussler and religious fiction like Gerald Lund. Anyway, I'm pretty diverse in what I like. My sister recommended I read the Twilight series by Stephenie Something-or-other, anybody read that? Is it good? I have it on hold at the library but they are all checked out and I'm like 25 in line for them, guess that means they are good lol. But I need something else to read until I can get them.

What are some of your recommendations?

I have heard AMAZING things about the "Twilight" series . . . haven't read them yet myself . . . think I'm going to have to just bite the bullet and do it! LOL
I'm not that much into Sci-Fi/Fantasy . . . but Kimberly (Temp. Insanity) is . . . I think her favourite author is Terry Pratchett? Not sure . . .
If you like LDS fiction, I would suggest Dean Hughes as an author, but not sure how available that is there besides the bookstore.
I personally am on a huge Christian fiction kick right now: Dee Henderson, Karen Kingsbury and Lori Wick are on my faves list for authors.

HUGE fan of Francine Rivers. The variety is amazing and her books are unbelievable. The booke "Redeeming Love" is a book about Hosea but you would never know it by reading it...but it will make you want to go read Hosea. I cannot tell you enough how awesome she is!! If you read her and like her, try her Mark of the Lion series, it is truly a remarkable series...but the first 6 chapters of the first book are HARD to get through, but totally worth it!!!!!!!

Kate- I love Dean Hughes too :D I read the whole Children of the Promise and Hearts of the Children series'. I'll have to look up Terry Pratchett

jtcosby- Oh, the Mark of the Lion series was amazing! I might just have to reread that just for fun :D I can't remember if I've read any of her other stuff but I will check.

YES! You have to read that series Kara! I have already read it like ten times in the past two months, lol. Ask Josh about those books and he will just roll his eyes because he couldn't believe how many times I picked up one of those books to read yet again. He has been trying to get me to read Cat's Cradle and Good Omens for the past year lol. Have a great day! I'm off to work.

I have none because I don't have time for reading. If I happen to be flying or waiting in a dr's office I might read a magazine, but otherwise I don't sit down and read much...too many blogs to catch up on! :)
