Yesterday was a pretty stressful day for me. My back is causing me lots of pain, Baby is teething and not at all happy about it, Toddler was acting like a typical 2-year old, and other minor things. It all added up to me wanting to cry by the time I went to work.
But there was a bright spot in the day. The weather was mid-50s, warmer than it's been in a long time. So after running a few errands I decided to stop at the park and let Toddler play for a bit. It was literally a breath of fresh air. He got to run off some energy before naptime and enjoy a 1/2hr of me not being frustrated with him. Baby seemed to like watching him play, and got to swing a little for the first time. It would've been nice to stay longer if it wasn't naptime (which I also needed lol). That simple 1/2hr helped me recharge a bit and enjoy the beautiful day.
So, what works for me is to relax, get out in the fresh air, and forget about your worries, even for just a short time. Let your inner-child out to play for a bit.

You know how I feel about going to the park! I agree, it's my fave time of the week, going to the park on Fridays. How cute baby got his first swing on the swings!!
We can't survive the day without running around outside. I work at night too, so I know what it feels like to need a recharge before work.
We need this too...we get out in the backyard on the swing, and enjoy the weather whenever we can.
