Here's just a quick little kitchen tip from me. You know how you can buy those little plate things to rest utensils on while cooking on the stove? I don't even know what they are called, a drip plate maybe? Anyway they are supposed to be a place to rest your utensils so they don't get stuff all over your stove or counter. I have never owned one, and personally don't care too, just another thing that would need washed. So what I do is whenever I cook on the stove there is usually a box involved. Yes, we eat a lot of prepackaged, boxed meals, like hamburger helper and pasta roni. So I lay the box on the stove top or counter with the instruction side up so I can still see them, then use that to rest my utensils on, like so:

An easy, disposable drip plate and my stove and counter stay clean.

Neat idea!
I do this alot with cans! Great tip!
I do this too! And for all you non-boxed-food eaters out there, you can use the plastic bag that your produce came in. :)
Ahh, you sound like me. The less cleaning, the better. Just make sure to keep the box far enough away from the burner :)
good tip. i usually end up just resting my utensil right on the counter because my spoonholder is already dirty :)
it's called a spoon rest, and i use boxes as well
