Just a normal day

Today was pretty boring. The boys were pretty good and just played and were cute. I tried to take a nap while they did, but didn't get much sleep. At least I got to rest. Now if I can get them to stay in bed then I can go to bed. I think I might take the boys out tomorrow to do something. It's nice to get out of the house once in a while.

Yesterday my brother and his wife came over for dinner and to play games. It was so fun. We've really missed stuff like that while living in Idaho. When we lived in Logan a few years ago they lived there and we were always getting together, and now that we both live down here in SLC we can do it again.

Monday Madness

I am so tired today. I slept horribly last night, woke up at 2:50am and hardly got any sleep after that. And I have a headache and think I might be getting a little cold. Sigh. Hopefully the boys are good today, and hopefully I can get Jason to nap when Jakey does. Lately he's been telling us he doesn't need naps :P We don't have anywhere to go or anything to do today. Oh, and we woke up to a few inches of snow! I'm so sick of snow! And we are supposed to have snow showers for the next 2-3 days. Grr. I really want Spring to start for good.

Deviled Eggs

So I finally got around to making deviled eggs from the Easter eggs we dyed last Saturday. They turned out pretty good, though not spectacular. I wish I knew how to make them really good, I just do the regular old mayo, mustard, salt, pepper, paprika. Does anybody have any yummy deviled egg recipes for next time I make them? I love deviled eggs, they are so good :)

Looking good

Although I don't wear a lot of jewelry I like having a few classic pieces to wear when I do, like simple diamond earrings, a gold necklace, an Akoya pearls necklace, and stuff. I actually don't own any pearls, though my mom let me borrow her beautiful pearl necklace and earrings for my wedding, but I'd like to some day. They are so simple but so elegant. Hm, guess I would need something nice to wear with them, can't go parading around in my wedding dress just to show of some pearls lol.

Lose it

You know what works great if you want to lose weight? Getting sick! LOL, of course that's not the best way to lose weight and I don't recommend it. I'm still recovering from being sick a few weeks ago, I have a cough and my lungs are still week. And a few days of no appetite was like weight loss pills for me and I lost a few pounds. Now that would be good if I needed to lose weight and wasn't pregnant, but I was already underweight and not eating isn't good for the baby. Of course we just had Easter with way too much candy so I'll probably put the weight back on quickly enough lol.

Cruising

One day I'd love to go on a cruise with Hubby. Just a regular one, not something like a weight loss cruise, Disney cruise, or specialty wine clubs cruises. I'm sure those are great too, but I just want a go-out-and-relax-and-do-whatever type cruise. Probably to the Caribbean, or maybe Mediterranean or Hawaii. Boy any vacation to somewhere warm sounds good right now lol. Dang winter is making me so anxious for sun and warmth.

Bedtime

Well, looks like I didn't get to bed by 9 anyway :P The boys didn't even stay in bed until 9. More accurately- Jakey wouldn't stay in bed, Jason did fine. I don't know why they are having trouble staying in bed, but at least they are sleeping through the night better, that has been sooooo nice. For a while there they were both waking up a couple times a night and ending up in my bed.I'd actually go sleep on the couch or their bed cuz I had no room in my own bed :P But they are doing better. So I need to go enjoy what sleep I can get while they are in bed :)

Yay for Fridays!

I love Fridays :) Cuz that means it's the weekend! Hubby is home on Saturday and Sunday so I like weekends. More help with the kids and house. We don't have anything special planned for the weekend, just lazy days at home. Too bad it's supposed to be cold and snowy all weekend :P Oh, just remembered we still need to go shopping for a few things. I'm tired, good thing it's almost bedtime for the boys. I think I'll try to get to bed at 9 tonight so I can try to get more sleep.

Dino Fun!

We had a great time at the Dinosaur Park today. Fortunately my fears of a cold snowy day were wrong, it was just cold. But it was bright and sunny and not really too bad to be outside. We met Michelle and her family as well as another couple with their little boy. At first the kids were afraid of the big dinosaurs and my boys didn't even like the big bones, but after a while they got into it more and had fun. They loved the playground, especially the slides. They even got to dig for stones, which my boys really loved. We got tons of pics. Afterwards we went to Subway for lunch. It was so fun to get to hang out with Michelle and her family, we really miss them and they are so great. Here's some pics:

First reaction to the dinosaurs-

Cute boys-

Brushing off bones-

Digging for stones-

Why I never leave the house...

It's amazing how much more you travel supplies you have to bring everywhere when you have kids. I need to make sure the diaper bag is over-stocked (cuz you know if you don't bring extra diapers you will regret it lol), extra clothes for the kids in case of accidents and spills, snacks and drinks so we don't have to stop somewhere for fast-food, coats, hats, and then all my stuff like purse, phone, and snacks for me. It's almost not worth it to go anywhere anymore cuz it takes as long to get ready and get packed in the van as it does to do whatever it is we plan lol, even if it's just running to the store for milk. I better get started now if we plan to leave in an hour. :)

Hanging out

One day I think it would be cool to have a "game room" with our big TV, game tables for board and card games, maybe a pool table (Hubby would love that). We could have it all decked out with cool decorations, home theater sconces, some fun couches and maybe a little snack bar. That would be so cool. Then we could have fun get-togethers with friends and family and hang out.

Stupid snow!

Have I said how much I despise snow?! Ugh. We woke up to it snowing today and freezing cold. We've had such a nice week and now this. I am so ready for summer to get here. We are supposed to go meet up with Michelle's family at a dino park about an hour from me, but now I don't know if they'll be going since a lot of the park is outside and it is freezing rain/snow. And I forgot to write down her sister's number so I can't get a hold of her. We'll probably have to leave early because of the snow to get there, and I don't want to drive 1.5 hrs in the horrible weather if they have changed their plans, hopefully Michelle will call if there has been a change. I know there's museums and other indoor stuff at the park so maybe they're still planning to go. Stupid weather!

Nakey

My boys have decided they want to be strippers. Two days in a row now they have come running downstairs without diaper/underwear yelling "I'm nakey!" As cute as their little bare bottoms are I don't want to be cleaning up messes all day so I need to find a way to keep their diaper/underwear on. I'm thinking duct tape might work best.

Age-defying

Have you ever watched the show "10 Years Younger" on TLC? I really like it. A lot of the people they help have had some hard times that have contributed to them looking older than they actually are. They put the person in a soundproof box and have passersby guess their age. Usually the people guess they are about 10 years older than they are. They then take the person and give them a complete makeover, including fixing teeth and skin and eyes. By the end of the 10 days the person looks so great. They go back in the box and often the public guesses they are younger than they are. I love these shows that help people turn their lives around and improve their self-esteem. I know someone who could probably be a good candidate for this show- my old boss Nancy. She was a sweet lady and so nice, but she is only about 39 and she looks at least 60. She has been working at Wendy's since she was 16, and was the manager when I left, 20 years in fast food yikes. Her hair was long and completely gray, which is most of the reason she looks so old and her face looked worn out. If I ever had the opportunity to recommend anyone for this show it would be her.

No energy

Boy, I don't remember being this exhausted during early pregnancy with my boys. Of course now I have two toddlers to take care of and still have a yucky cough waking me up at night, but still, I am getting some sleep. I am just so tired, I could barely get out of bed this morning. I'm so glad the boys have a playroom to go down and mess up, I can just lay here on the couch and rest and listen to them play. I do need to do some cleaning today, I didn't get most of my to-do list done yesterday, and I have ladies from church coming to visit tonight so I'd like the house to look presentable.

Tuesday To-Do

Today I need to:

* Clean family room and vacuum Done!

* Dishes

* A few loads of laundry, and fold

* Clean playroom- done already, but will need done again later, it's already trashed

* Mop kitchen

* Make dinner

Not much I need to do today, just some cleaning. I'm glad I got the family room done, it's been such a mess from Easter.

Good day

So far today is going much better than yesterday :) Of course I may be too tired to do anything, including get mad at the kids lol. For some reason I didn't sleep very well last night, I kept waking up. So hopefully the boys will both nap at the same time again so I can lay down. For now we are going to work on getting the family room picked up. Easter mess is all over the floor- wrappers, chocolate, little toy dinosaurs (which I've miraculously avoided stepping on so far), and a bunch of other junk. First I need to go upstairs and see what the boys are getting in to.

Just one of those days

Some days my children are almost perfect angels and everything they do is adorable. And then there are far more days where they make me want to rip out my hair and lock myself in the bathroom. Today was one of those days. I decided to tackle the playroom this morning. Ever since we moved in we had just thrown all the toys down there and let the boys go wild, it was a complete disaster, but we had other things to do and never got around to organizing it. So I put up some shelves and the hanging stuffed animal thing in the corner and started trying to get all the toys put away. Jakey would help randomly, bringing me everything except the toys I asked for at that point, but at least he was trying. Jason on the other hand just sat there acting like he couldn't hear me and refusing to help. Unfortunately I lack patience with that act and I blew up and yelled at him and spanked him. More than once. And then I felt like the most horrible mother in the world so I spent the next hour apologizing to him. And then when I came upstairs they got on the counter (there is a sink in the playroom, not sure why exactly) and got water everywhere. So I spanked him again, and apologized again. I shut off the water to that sink and got a bunch of towels to clean up the mess. Unfortunately I didn't know that the valve that shuts off the water leaks in the "off" position, until I checked an hour later and found the wet spot even wetter and had to turn it back on and hope they don't get up there again. Then while I was making lunch Jason refused to clean up toys in the living room. Yep, spanked again, and apologized even more, feeling crummy and like a terrible person. Boy I need some help with patience some days. Luckily, after lunch they both took a nap and the day has gone much better. It is nice and sunny and warm out and I think I might send them with Hubby to the playground to play while I make dinner.

Fix up

We love our new house. Of course, it's only 'new' to us, it is actually about 15 years old, and there are definitely some things we'd like to update eventually. I think part of the fun of owning a home is making changes to it. Like our old house we fixed up the backyard so it was usable. We would've done some work inside if we'd been there longer. Here I'd like to update the kitchen with stuff like granite countertops, wood or tile floors, and new appliances. And the upstairs bathrooms could use new countertops and floorings too (not too into the pink and green). Hopefully we can be able to find the materials for good prices, like the commercials for directbuy that you can get manufacturer prices. You know what's funny? At the exact moment that I typed in DirectBuy, a commercial for it came on lol. Must be a sign. :)

HAPPY EASTER!!!

Myspace Comments - Happy Easter

I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter! We gave the boys their Easter baskets this morning and they loved it. We got Jason a new church shirt and tie and Jakey a tshirt. They also got some little dollar toys and candy. After church we are going to do an egg hunt across the street at the school playground. Then we are having dinner at my family's house. It should be a great day.

Who's Line?

We are watching "Who's Line Is It Anyway?" and can I just say I love this show? It's so funny! And it's amazing the stuff they can act out. I've been in theatre classes so I know how hard it can be to act out stuff randomly without practice. I actually had a drama teacher who looked exactly like Drew Carey, his name was Mr. Dolozal, and he loved to do improv stuff that he got on the show. That class was awesome. But I'm definitely not as good as Wayne Brady and Colin Mockery. They could get a suggestion, something totally off the wall, like "rabid sloth in equestrian clothing" and be able to pull it off and you can tell that is exactly what they are. And I really love how Wayne Brady can make up songs at the drop of a hat, that's cool. Oh, and it's so funny when they have people from the audience come up to make the noises for a skit and all they can do is laugh or make weird noises that don't help. Too bad the show is no longer being made.

Relax

One thing I really love about my new house is the big master tub. In our college apartment when we first got married we had a huge jetted tub (it was an awesome apartment), but in our last house the only tub was a tiny shallow one in the main bath so I hardly took baths. Now we have a nice big tub again and it's been so nice. Plus we have a good water heater so I can actually fill it full without running out of hot water. It's so nice to be able to relax in a nice big tub. I absolutely love big tubs lol, like those deep walk in tubs that you see commercials for, the bigger the better. After the big kitchen, the tub is what sold me on this house.

More mess

Boy the kids sure can make a mess fast. I thought the house would stay cleaner now that we aren't all sick anymore, but that just means the boys have more energy to make more messes so we have to try to keep up with them even more. Luckily Hubby is wonderful at helping clean or I'd cry. I have a load of dishes that need done, especially because we don't have any clean bottles and Jakey is not happy about that. Then I have a few loads of laundry to wash and a few more to put away. The bathrooms could use a good scrub, and the kitchen floor is awfully sticky. But on the plus side, the kids are healthy and happy, so that's gotta count for something right? :D

Egg Hunt

Today we took the boys to the park for an Easter egg hunt. It was madness! I think everyone in the entire city, and their dog, was there. And of course the little kid section was at the farthest end of the park so we got there about 30 seconds before it started. Also, I was alone with 2 kids in different age groups, so I had to just let Jason go into the 2 and under age group with me and Jakey, but that was fine, other parents did that too. And it was nice that the young kids group was less hectic than the older groups, cuz the kids were slower, so we actually got some eggs. Jakey loved it, he'd find a bunch of eggs, sit down, pick up a few before they were all gone, then get up to go to another area. Jason wasn't too sure about it and only picked up eggs when I told him too, but at least he did it faster than Jakey. On the way home Jason kept saying "That was fun!" and Jakey did not want to let go of his basket for anything. I didn't get any pictures during the egg hunt cuz it went way too fast and Hubby had the camera (he was trying to find a parking spot), but we got some pics after with their stuff, I'll probably post them after tomorrow when we have more Easter pics. So it was a fun morning and I'm glad the boys had fun.

Thankful today

So, I didn't do Thankful Thursday yesterday, mostly because my mouth really hurt from my orthodontist appointment so I wasn't feeling too thankful lol. I still don't know when I'll get my braces off, but at least I know every appointment brings me closer to being done. And I'm thankful that this week we are much better than we were last week, though I still have a cough, and maybe a sinus infection. I am thankful that my head doesn't hurt as much today as it has the last week, I didn't even need to take some Tylenol today.

- Probably the country, it's quieter

Orthodontist

Today I have to go to an orthodontist appointment. It is a 1.5 hour drive. Not really very fun, but it's gotta be done. I haven't been since before we moved down here to Utah, so I'm past due to get my braces checked and tightened. Maybe if I'm lucky my orthodontist will actually give me some kind of timeline for when I can get them off. I've had braces for 2.5 years and am so tired of them. Jakey's never even seen me without braces. I don't even care if my teeth are perfect, they are already much better than they used to be, I just want to be done lol. I'm taking the boys with me, cuz I always take them and the sweet dental assistants love to see them. The boys should sleep most of the trip, so that's good. Too bad I can't sleep on the trip lol, but I gotta drive.

Wednesday, March 19, 2008

Too much pink

I think I'm starting to get sick of my pink layout already lol. Maybe it's just the headache I've had for a week or my queasy tummy, but it just does not sit well with me lol. So I might change it sometime soon, even if I just tone down the background to a color that's less bright. Maybe something a soothing light blue.

Tuesday To-Do

Today I don't have much to do, except try not to throw up. And take care of the kids. And try to clean a bit. That should be easy enough right? I hope the boys will nap good today, I have a headache and just want to lay down and sleep the day away. I'm going to go make lunch then try to get us all down for a nap. Sounds like a good plan to me.

Monday, March 17, 2008

So sleepy

I think the older I get, the more sleep I need. It's only 8:30pm and I'm exhausted and ready for bed. Every day I hope that the boys will take a good nap so I can lay down too. Just a few years ago, Hubby and I rarely went to bed before 1am. That lasted until Jason was about a year old. Then it was 11pm. Now I can barely function after 9pm. I must be getting old lol. And being sick and pregnant doesn't help, I'd sleep all day right now if I could. Evidently Hubby is getting old too, he fell asleep shortly after dinner and is still sleeping. Silly man.

Monday Madness

We had a good weekend and we are home again. Yesterday I stayed home from church with Jakey because he's still coughing a lot. Jason's coughing some more today too, and I'm debating whether or not to take them in to the doctor. I need to do some unpacking in my bedroom, the boxes are driving me nuts. I guess I need to plan out this week's dinners as well. And I almost forgot it's St. Patrick's Day! Not that we do anything special for it, but I need to find something green to wear.

Sloooow

Loading, loading, loading. Sigh. I'm always surprised at how slow dial-up internet loads everything lol. I've been sitting here for almost 5 minutes waiting for one page to load. I mean, of course I'm happy that there is an internet connection at all, we are just in a hurry so I want it to load faster. Ah, finally! Now I can say IWC watches and get ready to go :) Have to hurry if we want time to get the wedding gift, go to the dr, go to the lunch, then visit my friends Michelle and Melissa, then go get our cats, then head home. Busy busy day.

Laptop

Is there a difference between a laptop and a notebook computer or are they the same thing? I know that's a silly question, but I really don't know lol. I'm using my sister-in-law's laptop right now, she got the same kind that we have so it's nice to use one I'm familiar with. Plus it's in the guest bedroom where we stay so it's easy for me to have access to it lol. One of these days I think they are planning to get high-speed internet hooked up, when it's finally available out here, and that will be awesome.

Off to the doc

Well, my mother-in-law is taking Hubby in to the doctor to see if they know what our sickness is (if it's not just a cold) and if there's anything we can do to make it go away faster. I rarely go to the doctor unless it's for prenatal visits, even if I'm sick. I don't know why, it just seems silly to waste money when it usually clears up on it's own anyway lol. The last time I went to a doctor for being sick was after 2 weeks of a cough and very sore throat and the doctor said it was probably strep, gave me antibiotics and that got me better. Anyway, since we all have the same thing, we are just going to see what the doctor says about Hubby and hope we all don't need antibiotics or something :P

Meds

I have a friend who uses lots of herbal and natural homeopathic remedies for her family. I bet she'd have lots of ideas for me to get rid of this yucky cold. I know I remember her saying she uses Astragalus all the time and that it is great for the immune system or something and keeps them healthy. I don't know why I never think of these natural remedies when I'm sick though, probably cuz I have a hard time thinking at all while I'm sick lol. I don't even remember to take any kind of medicine unless someone like Hubby reminds me.

TV Time

Sometimes I think there are more commercials than there is TV show. I will sit down to watch an episode of Friends or something and every 2 minutes it's interrupted by 5 minutes of commercials for allergy meds, life insurance quotes for old people, and weight loss programs. I swear those are the only commercials these days. When we watch our DVDs of Friends each episode is only 20 minutes, with no commercials, so it's a lot easier watching that way.

Happily Ever After

I love weddings :) We just got back from Hubby's friend's sealing at the Idaho Falls Temple. They were sealed in the same room that Hubby and I were so that was nice. I always cry at weddings cuz the couple is so happy and it's just so sweet. I am very happy for this couple. A year ago I could never imagine this guy getting married, then he met his lovely bride and they are so perfect together. I hope they are very happy :) Now we need to go get them a wedding gift, they have their lunch at 1pm and then we have lots more to do today.

Got the time?

The first Christmas after Hubby and I started dating he bought me a beautiful watch. I love it. But when I had Jason I stopped wearing it because I was afraid of scratching him with it while I held him. And I haven't worn it since then. It's been 3.5 years. At least I still have it, in fact it's sitting on bathroom counter right now, it's just had a dead battery for 3 years. I keep telling myself one day I will get a new battery for it so I can wear it again instead of just look at it. Hubby likes watches too. We bought him a new one a few years ago for Father's Day or his birthday or something, it's nothing fancy like a Rolex Submariner, but it's perfect for him. I don't think he wears his much either now that I think of it lol.

Need to get ready...

I know I should be packing and getting the kids ready to go, but after almost a week away it's hard to pull myself from the computer. I think I have an addiction lol. Do you think there are drug rehab places for people with computer addictions? LOL. I just have so much to get caught up on and people to talk to. At least the inlaws have a computer, although the connection is dial-up, at least they have the Internet :)

It's About Time!!!

We finally have Internet!!! You have no idea how thrilled I am! Being cut off from everything for almost a week was so hard! Except for a few trips to the library or my family's house, I haven't been able to get online at all to check email or blogs or messageboards, or a million other things. And now I don't have time to get all caught up cuz we are leaving soon for a trip to Idaho for Hubby's friend's wedding tomorrow. At least I know my Internet will still be here waiting for me when I get back :D

House Systems

When it comes to the different systems in out house, I really have no idea. I don't know the difference between tankless water heaters and water heaters with tanks. I wouldn't know the first thing to do if something broke. I'm just glad when there is hot water for a shower or bath or for doing dishes. I'm also just glad when the heating system works for the house. We are crossing our fingers that nothing breaks right now because if the house got cold, we may just end up getting even sicker.

Cut Off From The World

With us having no Internet connection, I feel so cut off from the world. We are scheduled to have it hooked up and running tomorrow morning. I'm really hoping that pans out. I feel so cut off from the rest of the world when we have no Internet connection. We can't check bank accounts, make payments, pay bills, or check on medical information. Above all that, I can't blog at all. I'm really sorry that I haven't been able to comment on your blogs. Once our Internet connection is hooked up, I promise I'll be back.

Nice Fixtures

I love the light fixtures that are in our new home. Each room has plenty of lighting and a ceiling fan. There is even a small ceiling fan above the kitchen table. I absolutely love it. We don't have to worry about the house being too dark or the house being too warm. And the way the lights are arranged, you don't have to turn a lot of them on to get light to a room.

Exercise Equipment

When we were looking at our new home, the owners of the home had a whole room dedicated to exercise equipment. I think it would be great to have all kinds of exercise equipment because then I wouldn't have an excuse to not exercise. It would also be great because I wouldn't have to go anywhere to exercise and I wouldn't have to find a babysitter for the boys.

Social Programs

I don't understand a lot of what goes through a politician's mind. I was listening to the radio and they were talking about the different proposals for the budget for the next year for the United States. One would keep taxes low, but cut medicare insurance funding and the other one would raise the taxes and focus more on social programs. I feel that we should focus as much as we can on what is going on in our country and fund our programs the best we can. If it means a raise in income taxes, so be it. At least we will have more funding for the programs we use everyday.

Sharing With Everyone

We are all sick now. It started out with just me being sick, then Hubby got sick, and now the boys are both sick. Hubby came home yesterday after work with cold shivers, which soon added a high fever, and a headache. Luckily, he is starting to feel better. Now the boys are sick and I'm still sick. We have medicine, but, since I'm pregnant and we have no Internet connection yet, I don't know if I can take it. We get our Internet connection tomorrow. I just hope that's when this whole sickness will end. It definitely doesn't help us get things unpacked in our house.

Insured

I know some people don't have life insurance, and I always wonder why, beause life insurance rates really aren't that much. We have life insurance for Hubby and me, but not on the boys. I actually don't know why we don't have it on the boys, considering it would only be a few dollars more a month. I think everyone needs life insurance.

Home Sweet Home

I'm so glad we are in our house now. As much fun as looking at real estate is, it's much nicer not to worry about it lol. We are very happy with our new house and have been working hard to make it feel like home. The boys have transitioned to it nicely so far and are already starting to sleep better now that we are in a more quiet place. Once I'm feeling better and can clean up a bit it will be much nicer.

Stupid sickies

I am still sick. I hate it. I was starting to do better then yesterday I woke up feeling like I'd been hit by a truck. My head hurts soooo bad, I had a fever of 103* today, and chills, and my cough is still sticking around. Unfortunately there aren't many drug treatment options for pregnant women either. Ibuprofen works best for me but I can't take it in early pregnancy so I'm stuck with Tylenol. And I only had Tylenol PM so if I took that I would be all groggy. I had Hubby pick me up some extra strength Tylenol on his way home today and I'm hoping that helps. My house is a wreck from not being able to keep up with the kids. I'm going to see if one of my brothers or sisters can come over and help with the boys tonight, cuz Hubby is sick now too.

Miss me?

We were supposed to get our Internet hooked up Monday, but that didn't work out and I have been going nuts! It should be hooked up tomorrow morning though, so then I can be back online. I'm at the library right now, but only get 30 mins to use the computer so I can't do much but post real quick and check my email. I hope everyone is having a good week!

Sick of Being Sick

When we were staying at my parent's house, we stayed in this room that had a big bay window. That sounds nice, but the room was always freezing. The whole time living there, I didn't really get too sick. However, with the change in location and pregnancy status, I've gotten super sick. My head aches, my back aches, and I have a horrible cough. I just want it to go away so I can enjoy living in our new house. Hopefully, since it is warmer in our new house, this sickness will pass really soon.

So Very Tired

I am exhausted. Between the move, unpacking, being pregnant, and this stubborn cough, I just don't have any energy to do anything. I haven't even mentioned the stuff the boys put me through. Hopefully, as the weather continues to heat up and my pregnancy moves along, I won't be as tired. I'm also hoping that my husband will unpack most of the rest of our stuff. However, if he does that, he may not do it the way I want him to do it. ;)

Moved In

We are finally in our new home. We absolutely love it. There is so much room. We have all our furniture where we want it to go and there is still a whole empty front room. It's such a wonderful home. We were barely able to fit the refrigerator that we bought into it's slot and it's not coming out. We also got the water line for the fridge hooked up and the washer and dryer hooked up without much difficulty. We love it. Now the real fun begins, unpacking all the boxes and figuring out where to put everything.

What do you think?

So, I finally got around to changing my layout from the Christmas theme. What do you think?! I think the pink is kind of fun, but it might get annoying if I have it up too long. For now I like how bright and cheery it is. Also, I changed the title to match my domain name- Rambling Mom- so if you have linked to me as A Bit of Me you can change that :)

Cover up

I swear since we've moved here my face has really broken out. I think it's from all the stress. And now with being pregnant, I'm sure it'll get worse, it always does at first. I might need some Orovo acne stuff or Proactive or something. I have a big pimple right between my eyes and I hate it :P Thank heavens for cover up.

Packed up

So, tomorrow is moving day! I am so incredibly excited! I won't be on much this weekend, because our internet isn't going to be hooked up until Monday. We've gotten a a start on packing the truck, all of our boxes and some of the furniture. My mom has forbidden me from helping with anything heavy because I'm pregnant, which is fine with me lol. I can't wait to get all moved in tomorrow! It will be so nice to be in our own house again!

Gotta pack again

So, because we are moving out in just a few days I get to spend tomorrow packing up our stuff here. It's not really too much, mostly just clothes and personal items. Hubby is just so excited to get our big TV back lol. The tv mount has been kicking around the back of the car for two months, we can finally get that out of there. I'm sure my brother will be sad to see the TV go lol. I'm excited just to be able to use all my own stuff again and it'll be fun figuring out where to put everything. And the privacy, that will be great!

And the winner is...

Tisha was the only one to guess, and she guessed right! We're excited to announce baby #3 is on the way! We just found out a few days ago, I should be due mid-November. Hopefully this pregnancy goes as easy as my previous ones. We'd love a little girl, but since we make such cute boys, another one would be fine too :D I was tempted to keep you all in the dark for a while, but I have no patience and have already told everyone else, so I figured why wait :D

Thankful Thursday

I can't believe I almost forgot to post this today! The days just pass so quickly. Today I am thankful that we now own our new house and get to move in just 2 days! YAY! Everything went great with closing. I'm also thankful that everything went well with closing on our old house in Idaho. Altogether it's been a pretty easy experience, compared to when we bought our Idaho house. And I am extremely thankful for the news I'm going to share with you later. ;)

No guesses?

So, is the suspense killing you yet? Nobody wants to venture a guess as to what my big surprise is? well, if nobody's going to even guess, I'm not telling :P Well, not yet. :D But I will tell you some more great news. We get to move into our new house on Saturday!!! I'm so excited! We hadn't planned to be able to move in until Monday, but we were able to close a few days earlier than planned and all the funding and everything has gone through, so Saturday we move in! Woohoo!

Big news!

So I've got some exciting news to share! Of course, I'm going to let you all sit in suspense for a little bit lol. Go ahead and guess (unless you already know lol) and later I will let you in on my secret. I love to keep people in suspense :D

Signed the papers

Today we got to sign the papers for our new house! I was afraid it would take forever, but it went really quick and we were done in about 1/2 hour. Then we went to the bank to wire them some money they needed and we need to get a paper faxed to them from the title company of our old house. Other than that we just wait for the sellers to sign. Just a few days until we can move in! I am so so excited!

Sleep baby sleep

I'm so glad at least one of my kids goes to sleep easily. Jason, you put him in bed, sing a few songs, and he usually is asleep in a few minutes. Jacob is different though. He cries and screams and tries to get out of bed repeatedly, even with us lying down with him. He definitely won't go to sleep himself if we leave him alone. He used to be much better before we moved and his schedule got all screwed up, so hopefully when we can get into our new house and into our routine again he will do better.

6 days to go!

So, how are you all today? Good I hope :) We're just having a normal day here. I'm getting more and more excited every day to move into our new house. Just 6 more days. I realized I need to repack the stuff we have out here like clothes and toys and such so that we can move it again. Luckily it's not much, just a few boxes worth of stuff. Tomorrow we go sign the papers and the next day the sellers sign, and once the funding goes through, it is ours!

I'm back

So we had a pretty good weekend. The only part I don't like is the long car drive. It's about 4 hours to my inlaws from here. The boys actually did pretty good on the drive, so that was nice. We signed the papers on our old house Saturday morning, then tried to get to Idaho Falls in time for Hubby's cousin's sealing, but didn't make it. So instead we went gift shopping for them at Target (I could write a whole nother post on that) then went to pick up our kids and headed back for the wedding lunch. After that we went back to the inlaws where I got to take a nap. Then the wedding reception was at 6 and we stayed a few hours. It was a very busy day. Sunday we didn't want to stick around for 1pm church so we left around noon and got home about 4pm. So a good busy weekend.
