Halloween

Halloween was a lot of fun last year. Jakey was Wubbzy, Jason was Mario, and Nathan was a bumblebee. I also tried to do a few fun Halloween things with them. For some reason I can't get a few of the pics to upload rotated the right way, so yeah, oh well. :P

I'm pretty sure I ate more of their candy than they did. Most of it was gone within a week. That's one of the holidays that I think some weight loss product and a dental cleaning voucher should be handed out with the candy lol.

Intermission

I just realized it's already after 4pm so I need to get dinner started. Yummy baked potatoes with chili and cheese, mmm. Don't worry, we still haven't hit the major holidays here yet, so there are plenty more pictures coming! The hard part is deciding what pics to actually post cuz there are soooo many!

Back to school

The boys started preschool in October. Jason missed the Kindergarten deadline here by 3 weeks, but I thought it would be good for him to start getting used to a school environment, and I thought Jakey could use the structure and socializing too. It's crazy to think that this year I'll actually be taking Jason to Kindergarten! Hubby and I were talking the other day about how it seems like just yesterday that he was born. Now they are growing up so fast, and time passes so quickly I can feel the anti aging products calling my name.

We chose to send the boys to the local high school, where the child development classes teach preschool, supervised by an actual teacher. The boys love it, and Jason even tells us he has 2 girlfriends lol.

Well, I guess I lied about not showing pics of myself. I somehow managed to make it into all of Jason's birthday pics lol. And I can't show pics from my 10k without showing me. So I guess you'll have to look at me, I apologize in advance.
OK, here's from my 10k at the beginning of September. At least I have an excuse for looking bad in these pics, I just ran 6 miles! I may not need to read fat burners reviews but I probably could use some style help lol.

I'm not going to post many, if any pics that have me in them lol. It's not that I look like I need the best weight loss diet pills or something, I just hate how I look in pictures. Actually, I will be posting the family pictures my sister-in-law took, but I don't look awful in those so I don't mind lol. Those will be up in a few posts.

OK, I promised

I got my external drive all hooked up so I can post a bunch of pics! Sometimes I think it would be nice to just have an online backup of all my pics so it would be easy to access them anywhere, but at least the external is pretty easy to use, I just need to go through the files and put them in order by date some time. I took a look back and realized that I've only posted a few pics here and there for months, the last time I really did a lot of pics was in July! Yikes, I'm way behind! So I'll start from there and see what pics I should get up.

Stop time!

Does it seem like this year is already going by too fast? It seems like we just had Christmas and now January is 3 weeks over. Time really needs to slow down sometime! Before I know it I'm going to need a walker and arcona anti-aging products. I've been trying to enjoy Nathan's baby stage but it's hard when the days go by so quickly! He's really getting into the toddler stage, but he's still my little baby. I can't believe how much he's walking now, and he has the cutest personality. I'll get some recent pics of my adorable boys up soon, hopefully tomorrow.

We recently had to reformat our laptop. In fact lately every other day it crashes and needs reformatted. We've had nothing but problems with it since we got it only 2 years ago, and will definitely not be buying that brand again. Anyway, after we had to backup all our documents and pictures to our external drive I decided to get all of our old pics into the same place on that drive, so now I can easily get to them all. And I'm tired so I'm rambling on without meaning to and getting further from my point. Anyway, my point is that I will try to get some pictures from the last few months posted now that they are all in one place.

Team spirit at an all-time low here

So we are NE Patriot's fans over here. This was just not their year. I'm actually surprised they managed to make it to the playoffs at all, but that didn't last long. They lost today in the first round against the Ravens. I hope they have good discount auto insurance cuz they crashed and burned. It's like they weren't even trying. Hopefully next year they do a little better. Guess I'll be rooting for the Saints for the rest of the playoffs, cuz they are my brother's favorite and they've gone from being one of the worst teams a few years ago to being almost undefeated this year, that's pretty cool.

Love a good deal

One thing I love about the Internet is being able to shop online. Not only can you find many items that are hard to find in some local stores, but you are able to easily compare prices to get the best deals. Plus I visit some blogs and websites that post about great deals so when something is a really good deal I can get on it really fast and score some nice stuff for free or cheap. Like for Christmas we made some photo gifts for some of our family from a site that does things like photo cards, calendars, baptism invitations, and stuff, and because of the deals I heard about I was able to score hundreds of dollars worth of stuff for extremely cheap. I will definitely be keeping my eyes open next Christmas for more deals like that.

Western Governors University

For many moms like me, it can be hard to go back to school after you've had kids. I've been meaning to go back, and probably will be this fall. The reason I can do this is online courses. Grounded

I think my boys have been grounded more this week than any other. Mostly it had to do with them not cleaning their playroom, mixed with "that time of the month". Today they are grounded because we sent them down to the playroom once again to clean, but they ended up making a disgusting mess involving a sink-full of toys and stuff normally taken care of in the bathroom. So we have confiscated the majority of their toys until they can learn not to treat them like garbage, we boxed them up and locked them in the storage room. They boys are grounded to their room until their aunt and uncle come over for dinner, and probably grounded for another day or two.

My baby is walking!

So a few days ago Nathan finally started to take a few steps! I was so so excited! He took longer than my other boys to start walking so I was getting anxious. I've been trying to get a video clip of it, but every time he sees the camera he gets too excited lol. I finally got a short clip by getting the camera going on the tv stand without him noticing. It's really short, but it's the only clip I've been able to get so far. :)

Spoiled

I don't know if I mentioned what I got for Christmas or not, hm looks like not. Hubby was very thoughtful with my gifts, as always. He bought me a piano bench and keyboard stand so I can actually have my keyboard out, which means it will get played more than once a year! I love it! Another gift I love is a gift card to Kohl's. He knows it's hard for me to buy things I need for myself, like clothes, so he got me a gift card. I took a few hours all by myself to go shopping and picked out 6 great shirts, and I still have some money left on the card, I may use it for a pair of pants. The boys got some toys, clothes, and a few other things they are enjoying, like a race car track and Glow Station. I got Hubby a shredder and digital picture frame and ladder, things he's been wanting, as well as the 3 seasons of The IT Crowd. Nothing really fancy like Backwoods cigars (we don't smoke anyway), but it was a really great Christmas.

Back to normal

This year has gotten off to a nice start. We spent the first few days enjoying having nothing to do now that the holidays are behind us. Although the time off from our jobs, but it's also nice to get back to normal life. We've finally gotten almost all the Christmas stuff boxed away, I think all that's left to put away is my nativity. And the house is starting to get back under control. I'm glad I don't have to worry about Christmas for the next 11 months!
