Preschool Day 1

Well, preschool didn't go quite as I pictured it, though it didn't go as bad as I imagined it could lol. I didn't realize it would be so hard to teach a litter of puppies 5 toddlers how to draw a straight line. One kid wouldn't say anything, one wouldn't leave her mom's lap most of the class, and 2 (including my Toddler) just wouldn't be still or quiet lol. I'm hoping that as we get more used to teaching and the kids to being there, that it will get easier and less chaotic. I think if we had a little table they could sit at it might help, but not sure where we could get one cheap.

You should look on craigslist or freecycle for a kids' picnic table or some kind of table for kids. Or, do you guys have Big Lots there? I got these tables that we used to use for homeschooling until Jakey got too tall there, they were $15 and they are like little kid sized card tables with 4 folding kids chairs. Maybe Walmart will have something inexpensive?

You are brave just for doing it! :)

Do you have a Big Lots there? My mom found a little folding table with chairs there that she has at her house for Kenzie. It's worth a shot. Or check DI, they might have something. :)

They are young enough that you can do a lot of open ended activities that let them move at their own pace. Try alternating between active and passive activities. They will get used to it once they get into a routine.
